Tasha The Teller, Insecure HBO

Tasha, the bank teller on the HBO series Insecure is played by actress, Dominique Perry.  At the end of the season 1 finale, "Broken As F**k" we see Lawrence (Jay Ellis) hook up with Tasha and the social media response was hilarious.  We'll provide a summary of the episode and then take a look at some of the funniest social media reactions.


Issa (Issa Rae), Tiffany (Amanda Seales), Molly (Yvonne Orji) and Kelli (Natasha Rothwell) take a trip to Malibu to celebrate Kelli's birthday.  Issa receives a text from Lawrence so her and Molly drive back to Los Angeles.  Issa cheated on Lawrence and has been begging him to forgive her.

As Charlamagne explains, Lawrence calls Issa and then he heads over to their apartment.  When Issa arrives she sees Lawrence's keys on the counter.  When she gets to their bedroom, all his clothes are gone except for his blue Best Buy shirt.  We then see Lawrence giving Tara the teller the business!

Swift Star is Cardi B's producer on Love and Hip Hop New York.  Their relationship is fine until Swift decides to start making advances towards the Bronx rapper.  Cardi B surprisingly tried to resist the producer's advances.  She told him that he would be able to join her on tour if he kept their relationship strictly business.

If you've seen the previews for this season of #LHHNY then you know that Swift was unable to control his emotions for Cardi.  In episode 2 of the show's seventh season, "Strawberries" we see Cardi and Swift's relationship start heating up.  Not so fast Cardi.  How about that boyfriend that you mentioned on the first episode of season 7!?

When Cardi and her sister, Hennessy Carolina, were riding around New York City in a Bentley, Cardi reminds us about her boyfriend, Tommy.  The couple's relationship has been difficult because Tommy is locked up but Cardi plans on staying with him.

Cardi B's teeth were always on her mind before she got them fixed.  On episode 2 of Love and Hip Hop New York's seventh season the talented rapper shows off her brand new smile.  Cardi B's producer, Swift Star, is loving her new smile.  Swift has a girlfriend in London but he's unable to control his attraction to Cardi.


Cardi B's decision to fix her teeth is paying off fast.  The rapper recently landed a role on the BET hit series Being Mary Jane.  The series stars Gabrielle Union, who recently sued BET for breach of contract.  The actress claims that she signed a contract with the network for 13 shows.  Her complaint explains that BET is trying to cram two 10 episode season of the series into a single season.

In episode 2 of Love and Hip Hop New York's seventh season, "Strawberries" we see Kimbella confront Juelz Santana regarding his bad habits.  Juelz has cheated on Kimbella in the past and she's not letting him forget about his mistakes.

The Love and Hip Hop New Yorkstar has three children.  Kimbella Vanderhee is the mother of his daughter, Bella and his son, Juelz.  The rapper has a son from a previous relationship named LaRon.  The former member of The Diplomats welcomed his first son, LaRon Louis James, Jr. on October 24, 2003.


The mother of Santana's first son is Brhea Phoenix.  The rapper's second son, Juelz Santana James was born on September 6, 2010 and is currently 6-years-old.  His daughter, Bella Monroe James, was born on July 21, 2012 and is 4-years-old.

Henson made a confession to Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds in Variety's "Actors on Actors" series: Henson auditioned for the iconic role of Olivia Pope on ABC's hit show Scandal. Kerry Washington ultimately won the role and has truly come to define the character — and Henson agrees, according to Variety.


"I auditioned for Shonda Rhimes for Scandal," she told Reynolds. "Thank God Kerry got it. It was her job." Abdul Razaka Ali Artan Facebook Page Post Twitter Rant

Abdul Razaka Ali Artan is the 18-year-old Ohio State University student that rammed his car into pedestrians, leaving 11 injured.  Before the attack, Artan used his Facebook page to post a rant about Muslims being killed and tortured around the world.  Additional details about the Facebook post can be found below.  Keep reading to see how Twitter reacted to the incident.


Artan drove his vehicle into a crowd and began stabbing people with a butcher knife.  Ohio State University Police Officer Alan Horujko shot and killed Artan.  The 28-year-old officer was near the scene responding to a fire alarm.

The incident reminds us that we should be thankful for life.  Someone somewhere else is struggling to survive.

Sky Landish is DJ Drewski's girlfriend on Love and Hip Hop New York.  In episode 2 of season 7, "Strawberries" we see Drewski flirting with rapper, Bianca Bonnie at a music showcase in Queens.  Drewski explains to Bianca that his girlfriend, Sky, is like his assistant.  Drewski is a player and Sky knows it.


When Sky confronts Drewski about attending the showcase the DJ insists that he's focused on his career.  Sky doesn't trust Bianca and more importantly, she doesn't trust Drewski.

Samantha's mom, Kim Wallace, was seen in the previews for Love and Hip Hop's third episode of season 7, "Chest Pains." In the episode, Yandy Smith tries to keep the peace within the family yet rumors about Samantha lead to drama.  Samantha is seen explaining the family's problems to her mother, Kim.


Samantha tells Kim that Yandy needs to learn her place as the stepmother to Samantha's son.  We then see Yandy talking to Kim about the situation.  Yandy reveals that Mendeecees' mother, Judy told her that Samantha hasn't been fulfilling her duties as a mother.  Kim loses her temper and flips the table.

Not certain what Yandy said to make Kim throw the table!?


The preview then shows Judy and Kim arguing.  Kim claims that she just wants everyone to be honest but Judy doesn't want to hear it.  She calls her out and then Kim grabs her chest.  She appears to be having a heart attack.  At the end of the preview we see the paramedics carry her to the back of the ambulance.

Love and Hip Hop New York is typically all fun and games but Kim's health issues seem serious.  We're hoping she regains her strength and feels better.

What is the Fig Leaf Finger Challenge on Twitter? Similar to the 1 Finger Selfie Challenge you have to protect your private parts using just one finger.  From the Mannequin Challenge to the Dub Challenge Millennials around the world are using their creativity to make the Internet fun again.  Most social media challenges are created by high school students!


While the Running Man Challenge was one of our favorites, the Fig Leaf Challenge is about being comfortable in your own skin.  Many of us let our minds bully our bodies.  You should be proud of your body and stop trying to fulfill someone else's standards.

We love this contestant's tattoos! More importantly, we love how comfortable she is in her own skin.  Inhale confidence and exhale doubt!


Similar to social media challenges of the past, the 1 Finger Selfie/Fig Leaf Finger Challenge is slowly but surely breaking the Internet.  Kim Kardashian isn't the only person in the world with self confidence.

Phylicia Rashad is the actress who plays Angelo Dubois mom, Diana, on Empire.  The talented actress is best known for her role as Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show.  The 68-year-old has over 40 years of experience as an actress.  On Empire, Rashad's character, Diana is the head of one of the wealthiest African-American families in New York.


In episode 7 of Empire's third season, "What We May Be" Cookie swallows her pride and asks her sister, Candace (Vivica A. Fox) for advice on how to plan a family dinner that will impress Angelo's mother.  Diana can care less about Cookie's dinner.  The only thing important to Diana is Angelo.

Diana is fighting hard to get Angelo into a higher political office and she doesn't understand why he would want to be associated with a family like the Lyons.  Diana clashes with both Cookie and Lucious to protect her son's future.  

While Cookie is a former drug dealer, Clair was a successful lawyer.  One thing they do have in common is motherly love.  Both characters prove that a mother's love for her children is like nothing else in the world!

If Diana's love for Angelo is anything like Clair's love for Sondra, Denise, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy, Cookie may have finally met her match.
