"NeNe" was born Linnethia Monique Johnson on December 13, 1966 in Queens, New York. Her accent is proof that she did not grow up in New York. When she was young, her and one of her brothers were sent to Georgia to live with their aunt. NeNe's mother had 5 children and was having difficulties raising them by herself.
