Taraji P. Henson Fired From Empire, False Alarm

We can finally put the "Taraji P. Henson is leaving Empire" rumors to rest.  In the video above, Henson explains that she has bills to pay and loves Chanel too much to walk away from a hit show.  Taraji asks, "Who walks away from that money?" The award-winning actress then shows her Gucci heels and explains she can't leave Empire because of her expensive shopping habits.

Taraji P. Henson wasn't fired from the Empire TV show but she could be leaving.  In the video below, Wendy Williams explains that Empire is emotionally draining on Henson.  Once the series is eligible for syndication, Taraji plans on leaving.  Syndication means Fox would show reruns of the series on different networks.  As of now, they have already done 48 episodes and 88 episodes are needed for syndication.

Empire will reach its 88th episode in its fifth season.  That means we have at least 2 more years of Cookie Lyon.  Wendy explains that Taraji could have made the statement to force Fox to offer her a large contract.  Henson was underpaid throughout the first couple seasons of the series and she should be receiving a raise very soon.


Wendy says the show is not a show without Cookie Lyon.  Wendy wants Lee Daniels and the Empire execs to bring back Naomi Campbell's character...? Wendy clearly doesn't watch Empire.  Lucious killed Naomi last season.


Taraji P. Henson has been enjoying the success of her new movie, Hidden Figures.  The film's success has led to rumors that Henson is leaving Empire.  The rumors regarding Henson leaving the Fox series are false.  Taraji was once seen as an actress who only has the ability to play certain roles.

In 2001, Henson played Yvette in Baby Boy.  She did such a magnificent job in the film that it led people to think that she was too hood to play other roles.  Hidden Figures marks a new beginning for Henson's career.  Taraji has found success in a respectable role, leading some to believe that she won't return  to Empire as Cookie Lyon.

Another day, another false report involving a member of the Empire cast.  E! News explains that we shouldn't believe everything we hear about the show.  We recently explained that the rumors about Jussie Smollett being fired were false and this article will discuss Ms. Cookie Lyon.


The Fox hip-hop drama series achieved a high level of success in a short period of time.  As a result, haters gonna hate.  Let's go through some of the false shade that has been sent Cookie's way.

Cookie finally seems to be over Lucious in season 3 and we don't blame her! It's looking like she'll give Angelo Dubois (Taye Diggs) a chance at her heart.  It has to be difficult for Cookie to trust people after what happened with Laz (Adam Rodriguez) but Angelo doesn't seem like he's up to anything sneaky.

Terrence Howard

Henson and Terrence Howard met before she became Cookie Lyon.  Howard remembers when Cookie looked like the around-the-way girl in the image above.

The tabloids took advantage of their opportunity to spread lies about the two finally being fed up with each other.  People explains that Taraji P. Henson posted the following video via Instagram in order to squash rumors about her and Terrence Howard feuding off camera.


The following video shows the dynamic duo laughing off rumors suggesting that they didn't get along.  They've known each other for a very long period of time.  While we're sure they've had a disagreement or two, we know they wouldn't let anything ruin the record-breaking show.

Shortly after the Terrence Howard rumors were denied, false reports about Gabrielle Union replacing Henson on the show were published.  While we love Gabrielle, the rumors were false.  The rumors suggested that Taraji was fired after she demanded a pay increase.  Her salary issues are discussed in the next section.

Kim Kardashian West

Many believe that Kim Kardashian West will take Taraji P. Henson's place as Cookie Lyon on Empire.  A fake article was created and shared on social media explaining that the reality TV star would soon be featured on the Fox series.  The rumor is false.  Kim is a fan of Empire but won't be taking Henson's place as Cookie Lyon.

Salary

The Hollywood Reporter explains that Fox's TV executives gave the entire cast Rolex watches.  The watches may seem like a thoughtful gift but we are certain that Taraji would rather have the pay raise she requested before the show's first season.

Cam'ron Mase Tattoo, Sister

In Mase's Cam'ron diss, "The Oracle" he says that Cam has his name tatted on him.  That's not exactly true.  Mase's 1997 debut album was titled "Harlem World" and Cam'ron has "Harlem World" tattooed on his left shoulder.  Cam's "Harlem World" tattoo is identical to the tattoo Mase has on his right shoulder.

Mase also claimed that Cam had relations with his own sister.  Mase explains that everyone in Harlem already knew this information so he thought it was time to tell the world.  In Cam'ron's debut album, Confessions of Fire he admits to having relations with his aunt.

Mase Sister - Stason Betha

Mase's twin sister, Stason Betha was mentioned in one of Cam'ron's recent Instagram posts.  Stason played a major role in Mase's rise to fame.  She introduced Mase to Biggie Smalls' road manager, Cudda Love.  Mase impressed Cudda with his rapping skills so Cudda took him to Atlanta where he met Diddy and signed to Bad Boy.


In the Instagram post below, Cam'ron claims that he doesn't have a sister and he had relations with Mase's sister.  When Cudda Love took Mase to Atlanta, the Harlem rapper was hoping to meet Jermaine Dupri but he ended up meeting Diddy and was signed to Bad Boy.  In 1998, Mase, his sister and four others signed to Dupri's So So Def Recordings as the group, Harlem World.

Stason went by "Baby Stase" when she was with Harlem World.  The group only released on album, The Movement in 1999.  The album went gold but shortly after it was released, Mase decided to retire from the music business.  Mase and Stason were very close so she also retired from the music business.

A few hours after Mase released "The Oracle" Cam responded with the following Instagram post.  Cam's response to Mase is playing in the video.  Towards the end, Cam claims that he had relations with Mase's sister.  Mase and Stason have four older siblings so Cam could be referring to one of Mase's other sisters.

Zaire Wade is 6'2" and is currently 15-years-old.  He was born on February 4, 2002.  Bronny James is 6'0" and is currently 13-years-old.  He was born on October 6, 2004.  Zaire and Bronny have been spotted at multiple Cleveland Cavaliers games and basketball fans think they could both be future NBA players.


The video below shows Zaire dunking with ease.  He has just as much bounce as his father.  I hope Dwyane Wade and LeBron James aren't putting too much pressure on their sons regarding their futures in the NBA.  Superstars like Dwyane and LeBron usually don't have kids that are half as talented as they are because there's too much pressure.

Zaire and Bronny's talents could be a negative thing for Cavaliers fans.  Professional athletes are constantly busy so Dwyane and LeBron have missed some of their son's biggest games.

Dwyane and LeBron are both devoted fathers who love spending time with their kids.  Seeing them grow up fast will make them want to enjoy every moment.  LeBron and Dwyane will both retire within the next 5 years to spend more time with their sons.


The video above shows that LeBron and his teammates aren't the only ones who have secret handshakes.  Bron and Bronny also have a secret handshake showing their bond.  LeBron has explained that his father wasn't in his life so he takes being a good father very serious.

The next major step for Zaire and Bronny is choosing a college.  For some reason, I think Bronny will end up at Kentucky and Zaire will most likely attend Marquette.

In "Dinner Time"Cam'ron's response to Mase, Cam says, "Listening to Suga J, look, he gonna play you wrong, Carmelo took La La, Meek Mill took his baby mom." People jumped to the conclusion that Mase and La La were in a relationship but it was Mase's associate, Suga J aka Sugar J who was in a relationship with La La.

La La allegedly cheated on Suga J with Carmelo Anthony.  In 2004, before Suga J knew that La La was in a relationship with Carmelo, he saw her at Babalu Night Club in New York City.  Suga J approached her and tried to give her a hug but La La pulled away and warned Suga J that her man, Carmelo was there.

What Is The Show Empire About?
The Empire TV show's cast includes numerous talented actors that have shown broadcast networks the power of appealing directly to African American viewers.  Empire is a drama that explores the hip hop music industry through the Lyon family as they fight for control of the company.

Lucious Lyon, former drug dealer who has since become a musical mogul, is on a mission to appoint one of his sons successor of Empire Entertainment after he finds out about his terminal illness.  In the show's first season Lucious' sons, Andre, Jamal and Hakeem each try to prove that they are fit to lead the company.

While Lucious and his sons plan Empire's future, Lucious' ex-wife Cookie is released from prison.  Cookie served 17 years in prison for selling drugs.  She was sent to prison for her role in a drug deal worth $400,000, the money that was used to start Empire Entertainment.

Empire Season One Ratings
Empire's first season was simply amazing as the show shattered numerous records.  In its initial season Empire became the first show to increase viewers every week during its freshman season since at least the 1990s when Nielsen began tracking such information.  Empire's season finale drew 16.5 million viewers and averaged a 6.5 rating among the adult under 50 demographic.

USA Today named Taraji P. Henson Entertainer of the Year for her role as Cookie Lyon.  Henson spent years in numerous one-dimensional roles that did not allow her to show off her talent.  From Cookie's one-liners to her one-of-a-kind wardrobe the world has never experienced a character as unique and unpredictable.

In the show's first season we watched Cookie and Lucious nearly get back together and we also saw Cookie and Malcom's brief relationship.  Empire season 2 has been crazy for Cookie! Her boyfriend Laz (Adam Rodriguez) turned out to be a member of the 125th St. Bulls so Lucious had to take care of him!

The Fall of Lucious Lyon
When the show returns Lucious will have yet another opponent, rapper Xzibit has been added to Empire's cast.  The former host of West Coast Customs will play Leslie 'Shyne' Johnson, a gangster who hates Lucious.

The TV show Empire is always surprising viewers with plot twists and unpredictable moments.  In the show's midseason finale Hakeem's ex-girlfriend Camilla returns and we find out that she is actually Mimi's wife!? Mimi convinces Empire's board of directors to vote to boot Lucious from the company and Camilla appoints Hakeem as Empire's new leader.

Hakeem, Leader of the New School
Hakeem has made such a major impact on hip-hop that rumors have suggested that he is Jay-Z's son.  These rumors were false of course yet similar to Jay-Z, Hakeem works with Timbaland in order to deliver classic tracks.  In the show's first season Hakeem delivered the track "Drip Drop", helping the show become more popular as we couldn't stop singing the song!

Freda and Hakeem's rap battle was one of Empire season 2's best moments, as Hakeem showed off his lyrical arsenal and ultimately gave Lucious back his last name.  As Empire's new leader Hakeem may not be able to find time for anymore battles.  Hakeem's older brother Jamal experienced major difficulties in his attempt to lead Empire and create music.  It will be interesting to see how Hakeem treats Jamal now that he is his boss.

Jamal, Ready to Go!
Jamal Lyon went from recording music at "Ghetto Ass Studios" to being featured in epic commercials as the new face of Pepsi.  In one of the most enjoyable Empire-moments to date Jamal Lyon has a coming-out moment while he is performing a song and Lucious' reaction is pure comedy:

While Jamal is performing, flashbacks of Lucious putting him in a trashcan are shown.  The powerful scene emphasizes the fact that Jamal has moved forward with his life despite Lucious being stuck in the past.



The Empire TV show's second season began with Jamal as Empire's CEO struggling to balance his career as an artist and leading the company.  Jamal and Michael break up and Hakeem is now in charge of Empire creating the perfect opportunity for Jamal to focus on what he does best: creating unforgettable music.

Now that Hakeem is Empire's CEO Andre is the only Lyon brother that has never led the company.  Andre Lyon is a business savvy professional that we watch overcome health conditions, bury his uncle and we even get to see Lucious and Cookie's oldest son get served with a bib!

Andre is baptized in the show's second season yet his desire to transform his life may be delayed with his wife Rhonda being pushed down the stairs of their home at the end of the Empire TV show's midseason finale.

Anika, You Will Never Be a Lyon
When we first meet Anika Calhoun she is Lucious Lyon's lover and they are both very anxious to get married.  After she catches Lucious having sex with Cookie, Anika leaves Lucious, hooks up with Hakeem and even joins Creedmoor Records.

From fighting Cookie to having sex with Mimi, Empire's Boo Boo Kitty has shown that she will do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals.  While the new CEO of Empire, Hakeem, has assured Anika that she will never be a Lyon he was not aware of the fact that she was pregnant with their baby!

Becky Williams (Gabourey Sidibe) was Lucious' assistant during his time at Empire Entertainment.  After Lucious names Jamal his successor Jamal promote Becky to A&R.

When Lucious creates Gutter Life Records Becky works in the A&R department of the new label.  The position is perfect for Becky allowing her to work alongside her love interest J Poppa.

Porsha, Taxes!?
Porsha Taylor (Ta'Rhonda Jones) is Cookie's assistant.  In Empire's first season, Anika pays Porsha to spy on Cookie but Porsha makes it clear that she wasn't having it: "And I spied right back on your ass!"

Cookie fires Porsha for telling cops that her name is "Cookie Lyon" when she is caught jumping a subway turnstile.  Then, Porsha shows up to Cookie's office with her Grandma's mut, Whoopty Whoo and is able to convince Cookie to give her another chance.

Blame It On Tiana
Tiana Brown (Serayah McNeill) is an artist that was previously signed to Empire Entertainment and is currently signed to Lyon Dynasty.  Tiana and Hakeem are a couple in the show's first season but the two part ways after Hakeem finds out that Tiana has a girlfriend.

Hakeem and Tiana have remained good friends.  Hakeem reaches out to Tiana when he needs help transforming his girlfriend (Laura Calleros) into a star and Tiana is happy to assist.  We wonder if Tiana will end up back at Empire Entertainment with Hakeem.

Lil Wayne has four kids by four different baby mamas and we recently learned that the rapper might have a fifth child by a fifth baby mama.  He definitely has one daughter and three sons.  Lil Wayne is 100% certain that he is the father of Reginae, Dwayne III, Cameron and Neal.  A woman is trying to prove that he has another son named Dwayne.


Lil Wayne recently announced that he was done with Dedication 6 and will drop it very soon.  The New Orleans native is one of the hardest working emcees in the game but he still finds time to spend with his kids.

NBA Youngboy Chain Snatched In North Carolina

In the Instagram video below, NBA Youngboy makes it clear that no one snatched a chain off his neck.  NBA's friend was wearing his chain while NBA was performing and someone snatched the chain off his friend's neck.  Youngboy explains that he didn't care about the chain because he's too rich.

Chain snatchers want $50,000

A few months ago, NBA Youngboy revealed that he paid $200,000 for his "38" chain.  The thieves went on Instagram and demanded $50,000 for the chain.  NBA Youngboy needs to hire a security team now that he's famous.  I don't think he should pay the goons that snatched his chain.  Youngboy should file an insurance claim and stop wearing jewelry.

Will rappers ever learn? Stop bragging about how expensive your jewelry is on social media.  There are people out here that will do anything for money.

NBA has some more serious problems to worry about.  A woman accused the rapper of beating her up because she let 21 Savage's crew have relations with her.  In the video below, the woman explains that NBA beat her up and dragged about her hair.  NBA is on probation and if the woman files charges, he could end up back in jail.


Meek Mill wanted to sign Youngboy to his Dream Chasers label.  Meek could offer NBA some useful advice: Stay out of trouble.  Meek and NBA have kids that need their fathers.  They both need to make smarter decisions.

Chuck Smith was born in Athens, Georgia and attended the University of Tennessee.  He played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1992 to 1999 and ended his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers in 2000. Chuck worked as a radio personality after he retired from the NFL.


Chuck and NeNe met decades ago.  They were both raised in Athens.  Chuck got too excited when he appeared on the series, spilling all his tea about his past relationships with Phaedra and Kandi.  He referred to the ladies as members of his "team." That explains why Mynique filed for divorce.

NeNe is not Chuck and Mynique's only #RHOA connection.  Chuck and Sheree's ex-husband, Bob Whitfield were teammates when they both played for the Atlanta Falcons.  Mynique actually met NeNe through Sheree but Sheree and Mynique are no longer friends.  When Sheree would bring NeNe to Falcons games she would refer to NeNe as her "hood friend."

A new pic of Hunter Day was shared on Instagram.  Day is the 22-year-old teacher who was arrested for having a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old student.  Hunter was a chemistry teacher at Yukon High School in Oklahoma.  She was married to Tyler Day, a football coach at the high school. She is facing some serious charges including second-degree rape.

The Sheriff's Office began investigating Hunter after the 16-year-old student's parents contacted them.  The student's parents found inappropriate pictures and messages on their son's phone.  The police used the student's phone to set up a sting.  Hunter and the student planned to meet at her house.  The police used the student's phone to text Hunter when they arrived.

Hunter responded, "The doors unlocked as usual." The police report revealed that Hunter prepared a candlelit dinner for her and the student.

Hunter Day is married to Tyler Day, a football coach at Yukon High School.

Hunter and Tyler dated for years before getting married.  They both attended Oklahoma Baptist University.  Tyler eventually transferred to Central Oklahoma where he played football.  He'll most likely be filing for divorce soon.


Earlier this month, Hunter Day was accused of raping a student and now she has been charged with the crime.  The student posted the following pic on Snapchat.  In the caption the student explains, "The face you make when you ruin a b**** life and send her to prison for 10 years for rape."

Hunter Joanne Day is the Yukon, OK teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with one of her students.  More and more teachers are being accused of assaulting students and something must be done.  Educator sexual abuse has become a regular occurrence and more teachers are being exposed.


Hunter Day was taken into custody on Wednesday on rape charges.  She is 22-years-old and had an inappropriate relationship with a student at Yukon High School.  Hunter had no experience yet she was a science teacher thanks to an emergency teaching certificate.

Explicit pics and text messages were found on the student's phone.  Many teachers got away with sexual misconduct before the social media evolution.  We now live in a world of sharing.  Once a pic is sent it is no longer private, especially if it's explicit.  Millennials crave new content on a consistent basis so teachers will continue to be exposed if they don't stop sexually abusing students.

The Harvey Weinstein scandal is changing the entertainment industry but what will it take to change the academia? Sexual abuse in Hollywood is terrifying but the sexual abuse occurring in schools around the world is even worse.

Hunter Joanne Day was charged with second-degree rape in Canadian County District Court.  She was also charged with soliciting sex with a minor by use of technology.  Second-degree rape is a felony and the punishment is a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 15 years.  Hunter has ruined her life.  Consider the consequences before you make a decision.

Information about Love and Hip Hop Miami's season 1 cast members will be provided in this article.  The reality series will debut in January 2018.  VH1 has been considering a Miami installment of the series for years and they're finally making it happen.  In 2012, the network decided to expand to Atlanta instead of Miami but now they're taking their talents to South Beach.

Gunplay

In episode 9 of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta's sixth season, "Bachelor Bash" we met rapper, Gunplay.  The emcee, whose real name is Richard Morales, Jr., is best known as a member of Rick Ross' Triple C's rap group.  Gunplay persuades Scrappy to move to Miami and it's obvious VH1 is preparing us for the Miami installment of the series.

Shay Johnson

Shay Johnson from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta will appear on the Miami installment of the series.  She recently started dating Pleasure P of Pretty Ricky.  Pleasure P is working on new music and hasn't had much time for Shay.  We'll see the couple's drama unfold in season 1 of Love and Hip Hop Miami.

Bryant McKinnie

Bryant McKinnie will appear on Love and Hip Hop Miami's first season.  He's the first professional athlete to join the cast of Love and Hip Hop.  McKinnie is the CEO of BMajor Music Group.  In 2012, Bryant won a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.  Scroll down to see a picture of McKinnie with Love and Hip Hop Atlanta star Jessica Dime.


McKinnie takes music seriously, explaining why he was added to the cast.  He was the co-executive producer of Pleasure P's debut album, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper.  Bryant is currently working on new music with Lil Kim.

Trick Daddy

Trick Daddy will appear on Love and Hip Hop Miami's first season.  The rapper paved the way for Miami emcees.  In the 90s, when people mentioned Miami's hip hop scene, 2 Live Crew came to mind.  The group represented Miami's fun side while Trick Daddy revealed Miami's hood side.  We can't wait to see him in #LHHM!

Trina

Trina initially turned down an offer to appear on the reality series.  The success of the franchise made her reconsider her decision.  In 2016, the rapper confirmed that she will appear on #LHHM.  Trina rose to fame thanks to her verse on Trick Daddy's 1998 hit, "Nann N****." Since then, she has released quality music, including her 2000 single, "Pull Over."

Vincent Roper - Safaree Uncle Died

In episode 5 of Love and Hip Hop New York, season 8, "Streets Are Talking" we see Safaree Samuels discuss the death of his uncle, Vincent Roper aka "Vern." There's nothing worse than losing a loved one.  Vincent was Safaree's mother brother and they had a very close relationship.  Safaree explains that they would ride motorcycles together and Vern would help him clean his cars.


Dreamdoll shows Safaree support while Samuels is mourning about his uncle's death.  Safaree explains that he can't remember the last time he cried and Dreamdoll tells him that it's normal to show his emotions.  Dreamdoll feels closer to Safaree after consoling him and she's catching serious feelings.

Vincent Roper was found murdered in his home on Friday, August 25, 2017.  Safaree says that the police haven't identified a suspect, making the situation worse.  Safaree explains that Nicki Minaj knew Vern but she didn't reach out to Safaree while he was mourning.


It can be difficult to take Safaree serious but I think Nicki should have reached out to him after his uncle died.  Nicki owes a substantial amount of her success to Safaree and they were together for 14 years.  Safaree was the best hype man Nicki could wish for.  He wrote some of her best lyrics and fully supported her career.


It looks like Safaree is shifting his attention to Dreamdoll and she's definitely feeling him.  Safaree's mother warned him about dating women that look like Dreamdoll but Safaree doesn't listen.  Dreamdoll was there for Safaree when he needed her and he'll never forget that.

Vincent Roper was 64 when someone took his life.  He's gone but Safaree will make sure he's not forgotten.  Safaree is working hard on his own career and he's on his way to the top.

ASAP Rocky called himself the greatest contemporary artist of all-time during his performance at Spotify's Rap Caviar concert.  He explained that he was on his Kanye tip and didn't care if fans agreed.  The rapper has been keeping himself busy lately, explaining why he's feeling himself.  During an interview with Montreality, French Montana announced that him and ASAP Rocky have a joint project that will drop soon.


French and Rocky collaborated on the classic track "Said N Done" so I can't wait to hear their joint project.  Music isn't the only thing Rocky has been focused on lately.  The Internet thinks that the Harlem rapper is in a relationship with model Tina Kunakey Da Vita.  Now that him and Kendall Jenner are done, it's time to move on.

Brandy Norwood Pregnant?

Is Brandy pregnant? Princess Love finally revealed that her and Ray J are expecting and now we're waiting on Brandy.  There were rumors that Brandy was carrying for Princess and Ray but the following Instagram post proves that those rumors are false.  Ray finally got his little soldiers to march!


We would leave Brandy and the Norwoods alone if they agreed to stop trolling us.  The following post shows Instagram comments that Princess Love liked.  The first comment is about Brandy being pregnant for 10 years:


We already gave you the rundown on Brandy Norwood's new beau, Sir the Baptist. The two have been dating for a few months now but rumors are flying that the 38-year-old singer/songwriter is expecting a child with Sir, well, is she? According to sources who know firsthand, no she is not expecting a new addition anytime soon.

How did these rumors even start? Brandy posted a photo of her and Baptist with a loving caption where it appeared that she could be talking about the arrival of a new baby but she didn't say it straight out. Then, messyboots "Hollywood Divas" star Countess Vaughn's single comment on a photo of Brandy performing is the cause for a lot of this speculation.

A photo where the singer appeared to have just the slightest bit of tummy sparked Countess to give her congratulations to Norwood which then caused a chain of others to follow. The news spread like wildfire prompting Brandy to give the most high key response ever by posting in her bio that she isn't pregnant, she just likes to eat!


Confirmation came straight from the mouth of Brandy's first child, Sy'rai where she addresses these rumors in a video stating that her mom isn't pregnant but has, in fact, been eating too many pancakes and that she likes being an only child. So adorable.

The denial from Brandy and Sy'rai apparently wasn't enough because Countess posted and deleted a photo of Brandy and Sir the Baptist with the caption continuing to congratulate the two on the alleged pregnancy. Just when we thought the only Brandy beef has been laid to rest Countess shows up to reignite the flame.
